Today’s research shows that the effects of continuous conflict can lead to high stress levels, heart attacks, high blood and many other fatal problems.


We’ve discovered that there is a need to resolve conflict. Many people work in a high stress level environment but do not know how to cope with it and with that comes conflict. Well with this course we can correct all of that and enhance everything involving identifying the problems and learning how to solve them. We will help bring out the peace keeper in YOU!!!!

Learners who complete this course have developed and consolidated skills, knowledge, values and attitudes in their conflict resolution techniques, form and style.

Once you have finished this course you are capable of:

  • Expressing and communicating ideas, thoughts and feelings using techniques, elements, principles in a constructive manner to resolve conflict.
  •  Know how to address conflict taking into account principles of safe practice.
  • Adhering to human rights and responsibilities in relation to conflict situations, remembering yourself and the other person.

Description

A 1day Life Skills Course focusing on inspiring, equipping and empowering people to implement and uphold the principles which will ensure that they are well able to resolve any kind of conflict that they are faced with in a successful manner to ensure them with maximum success.

This course is aligned to Unit standard US 9533 level 3 Credits 3 but assessment is optional

 

Contents

1. Demonstrate an understanding of different conflict situations in the workplace.

2. State and explain the difference between feelings and actual problem when dealing with conflict. 

3. Practical resolutions of conflict training including the following:

Ø        Roll play:  Various Situations will be identified and resolved.

 

Learning Objectives

·        Use communication skills to handle and resolve conflict in the workplace 

·        To practice developing these skills in a safe and supportive setting

·        Learning to use the 5 A’s technique to help resolve conflict and putting it in action

·        Identify a conflict situation and communicate in such a way that the conflict can be resolved in a constructive manner.
